Introduction
I was raised in a Russian home. Russian was my first language, I ate Russian food, watched Russian cartoons, read Russian books, and thought Russian thoughts. But I was born and grew up in New York City, went to an American middle school, high school, and university. Therefore, I wanted to further explore how the two cultures clash and how being raised with a Russian lifestyle clashed with my maturing and living in America. |
Research Questions:
1. How have the parental pressures and disciplinary styles affected your upbringing? 2. How is being raised as an american different than being raised as a Russian? 3. If you could have been raised differently, would you have? |
